Clubhouse Pool Exit Key Fob Reader Update


We want to thank everyone for your patience while the Y team has worked hard to repair the issues we have experienced with the Clubhouse Pool Exit Key Fob Reader. Unfortunately this process has taken much longer than originally anticipated, however we are happy to announce that we believe the root cause of the issue has been identified! A new access control panel has been ordered and will be installed by our ADT technician as soon as it arrives. As per our contract with ADT, this new panel will come at no additional cost to Fairway Villas or the Subdistrict.


For a bit of history on our recent issues, when the key fob reader initially went down, our Facility Maintenance Manager, Scott, attempted to resolve the matter in house. When it was determined to be an electrical wiring issue, we arranged a visit with our electrician who resolved the wiring problems but informed us that we needed a new key fob reader all together. Once purchased and then installed by Scott, the new key fob reader was functional and the door was able to be opened from our ADT online portal, however the reader would not recognize our FV key fobs. When an ADT technician was able to visit, they had spent the day working on repairs and informed us that this was a unique issue that they had not seen before. Thankfully after extensive troubleshooting and investigating, the ADT technician determined that a new access control panel was required. Once this new panel arrives, we expect a speedy installation and reopening of the pool exit door. Updates will continue to be shared with the community as progress is made.



Swimsuit Spinner Repair Update for Clubhouse Men’s Locker Room


The swimsuit spinner/dryer in the men’s locker room at the Clubhouse experienced a malfunction in recent weeks where the dryer would not stop spinning even after the allotted amount of time had passed. Our Maintenance Manager, Scott, looked into the mechanics of the machine and after attempts to fix the issue, determined that it would be less expensive to replace the machine than to further attempt to fix the electrical components. A new swimsuit spinner has been ordered with warranty and will arrive mid-week next week. Thank you for your patience while we have worked to resolve this matter.
